Learn about Make Some Noise

Make Some Noise is a 2 day artistic mentorship workshop facilitated by
3 Time Canadian Aboriginal Music Award Winning Rap Producer
Rex Smallboy (formerly of the Cree hip-hop group War Party)

The program is designed to help youth to break down barriers and create opportunities for success by teaching songwriting to youth ages 11 to 18.

Make Some Noise guides participants in creating their own
unique songs to showcase and perform in a community concert.

The program helps youth to express themselves, build confidence,
and to discover valuable insight into their own potential.

Make Some Noise provides a positive, supportive and a safe youth
learning environment in collaboration with local schools, community health
and band organizations.

What people are saying

Rex Smallboy’s talents will not soon be forgotten. He made a mark on our school and student body that day that cannot be erased. His positivity, his sincere appreciation for what our school was doing, and his undeniable talents are memories that I will hold dear.

I am so honoured to have met Rex and to have him perform for our school; as well, my student organizers share in this appreciation for his contributions to the success of our assembly.

Thank you, Rex!
